About NewsHX
Intelligence built for the full care continuum.
NewsHX covers acute care, post-acute care, home health, and the policy and technology forces shaping all of them — edited by a physician executive for healthcare leaders who make real decisions at the intersection of clinical care and operations.
From the Editor
Dr. Nitesh Kumar
MD, MBA, ACHE, CBIS
Founder & Editor-in-Chief · Medical Director, NewsHX
Dr. Nitesh Kumar is a physician executive whose career spans pharmaceutical clinical strategy, acute hospital operations, post-acute care coordination, and patient recovery education. He founded NewsHX to address a structural gap he encountered throughout that work: healthcare intelligence is deeply fragmented, siloed by care setting and specialty, leaving the professionals who navigate the full continuum without a single reliable source of truth.
His editorial philosophy reflects his clinical conviction: most healthcare systems do not have a strategy problem — they have a continuity problem. NewsHX exists to close the information gap across the acute-to-home continuum, giving clinicians, administrators, and executives the intelligence to act at the right point in the system, not just at the symptom.
Beyond NewsHX, Dr. Kumar leads A3HCS, a boutique physician-executive consulting firm focused on care transitions, hospital throughput, and post-acute care strategy. He also founded Brain Revives, a structured recovery program built to close the gap between hospital discharge and meaningful home-based recovery for patients and families managing brain injury.
He holds board certifications from the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and the Brain Injury Association of America (CBIS), and carries a Six Sigma Black Belt credential in healthcare operations.

Our Mission
Healthcare news is fragmented. Acute care leaders read one set of publications. Post-acute and home health leaders read another. Policy and technology news lives somewhere else entirely. NewsHX brings it together — one platform, across the full care continuum.
We surface what matters: CMS rule changes, quality measure shifts, staffing pressures, technology adoption, clinical research, and the market moves that reshape care delivery. No noise. No filler. Information calibrated for people who make real decisions.

Data & Transparency
Quality ratings on our Find Care tool come directly from CMS Care Compare via the Provider Data API — the same data powering Medicare.gov. We do not alter, weight, or editorialize ratings. Local health risk data is sourced from the CDC PLACES program and county-level mortality data from the CDC Wonder database. All statistics and charts are source-attributed throughout the platform.
Editorial Standards
NewsHX follows a defined process for source selection, data verification, and editorial review. Our standards cover how we choose sources, how data is validated before publication, and how corrections are handled.
