This Privacy Policy describes how A3HCS, doing business as NewsHX (“we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, stores, and shares your personal information when you use the NewsHX website at https://newshx.com(the “Service”).

• Login credentials or social media login (Google OAuth)
• Billing information for paid subscriptions (processed and stored by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers)
• Contact preferences and account settings
• Any messages you send us via the contact form

• IP address, browser type, and operating system
• Pages accessed, articles read, and session duration
• Referral source (how you arrived at NewsHX)
• Log and usage data for security and diagnostics
• Cookies and similar session technologies (see Section 6)

2. How We Use Your Information

We process personal information to:

• Create and manage your subscriber account
• Deliver the NewsHX Daily Brief and other newsletters you opt into
• Manage subscription billing and access control for subscriber-only content
• Send transactional communications (account notices, billing receipts, security alerts)
• Analyze aggregate usage patterns to improve the Service
• Comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations

We process your information only when we have a valid legal basis: performance of a contract (providing the Service), your consent, or a legitimate interest (security, fraud prevention, service improvement).

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers: Vendors supporting our infrastructure — Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payment processing), Neon (database), and email delivery services — under strict data processing agreements
• Legal compliance: When required by law, valid legal process, or regulatory authority
• Business transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, subscribers will be notified in advance
• With your consent: For any purpose you explicitly authorize

4. Social Media Logins

We offer optional registration and login using Google. If you use this option, we receive limited profile information from Google (name and email address), which we use only for account authentication. We are not responsible for how Google collects or uses your information.

5. Analytics

NewsHX uses Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns. Vercel Analytics does not use cookies, does not track users across sites, and does not build individual profiles. Data is processed anonymously. We do not use Google Analytics or any behavioral advertising platforms.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies solely for session management (keeping you logged in) and security. We do not use advertising cookies, behavioral tracking cookies, or third-party retargeting pixels. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling session cookies will prevent you from staying logged in to your account.

7. Data Retention

• Account and profile data: Retained while your account is active, plus 30 days after deletion
• Email newsletter subscriptions: Retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion
• Billing records: Retained for 7 years as required by financial law
• Usage and diagnostic logs: Retained up to 12 months

8. How We Keep Your Information Safe

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including:

• Encryption of data in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest
• Role-based access controls limiting internal access to personal data
• Security headers (Content-Security-Policy, X-Frame-Options, X-Content-Type-Options)
• Database hosted on Neon with encrypted connections

No electronic transmission or storage system is guaranteed to be 100% secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access: Obtain a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and personal data
• Portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• Opt-out of sale/sharing: NewsHX does not sell personal data
• Withdraw consent: Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw at any time

10. United States Residents — Additional Rights

If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, or other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws, you have the additional rights described above, including the right to appeal our decision if we decline your request. Appeals may be submitted to niteshmd@newshx.com. If your appeal is denied, you may file a complaint with your state attorney general.

California “Shine the Light” (Civil Code Section 1798.83): We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.

11. Children’s Privacy

NewsHX is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn a user under 13 has registered, we will delete their account promptly.

12. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email or site notice prior to taking effect. The revised policy will display an updated effective date.
